Modern Livestock House Cooling Pad Project: Creating an Efficient Breeding Environment
Mar 06, 2025

In the livestock house construction project at Standardized plant wet curtain - negative pressure fan ventilation engineering , we meticulously planned and implemented a cooling pad system that works in synergy with the  Negative pressure fan system to establish an efficient and energy-saving environmental control system for breeding operations.

I. Project Overview

The project addresses the layout characteristics of large-scale breeding houses located near mountainous areas, with cooling pad facilities strategically installed on the neatly arranged exterior walls of the livestock houses. The buildings feature a unified architectural style, with sturdy cement walls complemented by brown-red roller shutters and blue roofs that stand out under sunlight, providing a stable foundation for the cooling pad system installation.

II. Cooling Pad System Design and Functionality

(1) Scientific Layout

Based on the spatial structure and ventilation requirements of the livestock houses, the cooling pads are installed on specific wall positions, forming an "inflow-outflow" air circulation pattern with the corresponding  Negative pressure fan in designated areas. When the fans operate to extract indoor air, negative pressure is created inside the houses, drawing outside air through the cooling pads. This air is cooled before entering, achieving both air exchange and temperature reduction.

(2) Efficient Cooling and Environmental Optimization

The cooling pad material exhibits excellent water absorption and breathability. As water flows through the pads, it fully interacts with incoming air, rapidly reducing air temperature while filtering out certain impurities. During hot seasons, this system effectively maintains indoor temperatures within a suitable range. Combined with the fans expelling humid, hot, and stale air, it ensures a fresh and cool indoor environment, creating comfortable growing conditions for poultry and livestock. This enhances breeding efficiency and improves animal health levels.

III. Project Value

The cooling pad project, in coordination with the Negative pressure fan system, constitutes a modern environmental control solution for breeding operations. Practical operational results demonstrate its effectiveness in addressing high-temperature challenges during summer in large-scale breeding houses, reducing risks associated with temperature discomfort during breeding processes. It provides strong support for breeding enterprises by saving energy consumption and improving production efficiency. As a typical application in modern intelligent breeding engineering for environmental control, it highlights the role of professional breeding engineering in driving industry upgrading.
